Endodontics or root canal treatment is the dental procedure concerned with the study and treatment of the dental pulp or nerve. Root canal therapy may be required when teeth have large cavities or large past restorations, abscesses, cracks or traumatic injury. To provide the most up to date Endodontic treatment possible, Dr. Chow was enrolled in a Endodontic Study Group and remains enrolled in continued education courses on performing root canal therapy. Referral to a Board Certified Endodontic Specialist is sometimes required in cases that need retreatment of teeth that already have “old” root canals or teeth which are very difficult to treat and need special instruments and diagnostic tools which Endontists use.
